As a club, we strive to promote the sport of Bass Fishing and strive to promote public awareness of conservational issues that affect our natural resources. 

We practice catch and release and make every attempt possible to see that each and every bass caught is returned to the waters in which it was caught alive and healthly.

Southern VA Bassmasters are very supportive of the VA Bass Federation Youth Program. We strive to be a positive part in all State  Youth Events.                       Take a Kid Fishing!!!!

Who We Are

Southern VA Bassmasters is a local club in Emporia, VA that was established in 2007. We are proud members of VA Bass Federation-Region 6 and also TBF. We mainly fish Virginia and North Carolina lakes and rivers (Kerr Lake, Lake Gaston, Lake Chesdin, Roanoke Rapids Lake, Meherrin River, Nottoway River and Chowan River).
